To this day, the tradition-steeped Rancé perfume house mainly uses natural substances such as flowers, leaves and herbs to recreate historical compositions that are faithful to the original fragrances.

“Le Roi Empereur” owes its masculine character to the warm, woody base note of amber, leather, cinnamon, cedar and forest moss. The spicy heart of cardamom, iris, rose and violet brings an oriental note. The aromas of the top note are synonymous with freshness: lavender, orange blossom and anise.

The glass bottle is also a reproduction of the original. When it sits on the base of the packaging, its shape is reminiscent of a Victory Column. The coat of arms of the Empire under Napoleon Bonaparte adorns the label.
